Behind the Loupe: My Top 2025 Fashion Jewelry Trends

Sweater Weather!

The leaves are changing and so are my jewelry favorites! As we all grab sweaters, blazers and boots for the last months of 2024, don’t forget to freshen up your jewelry for the season too.

Here are my top fall 2025 top jewelry trends. I think these pair perfectly with cool weather staples and are versatile enough to carry you into spring styles too.

80s Baby

This trend is especially nostalgic for me, as these bold pieces remind me of what was in fashion during my childhood. Runways and fashion pros everywhere are highlighting huge, button earrings.

These earrings are often large ovals, squares or circles in several different metals or an endless variety of colors. In the 80s, bigger and bolder was always better! I love a spin on this trend, still using the oversized silhouette but incorporating an elegant hoop shape, with these wide huggie hoops.

Paper Clipped

Nearly the complete opposite of the oversized, bold earrings trend is this ultra-minimalist style. Dainty paper clip links have been popping up as bracelets, necklaces and earrings for the last few seasons. And this back-to-school style is showing no signs of slowing down!

I love this style for its timeless appeal and wearability. These paperclip earrings can be dressed up or down and come in 14-karat rose gold, yellow gold or white gold.

Nature Motifs

Some of the most high fashion runways included an array of nature-inspired jewelry this year. While these designs are often over-the-top, there are so many approachable ways to incorporate nature themes into your accessories.

I may be biased toward this trend, since I live and work near Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. But I think this cypress tree pendant necklace is an intriguing and classic piece. For another understated take on this trend, these succulent and scallop earrings make a beautiful statement.
